The ACS National Awards program is designed to encourage the advancement of chemistry in all its branches, to support research in chemical science and in industry, and to promote the careers of chemists.

ASME's Honors and Awards program celebrates individuals who have made important contributions in various engineering disciplines. Awards recognize those who have made major achievements, presented groundbreaking papers or demonstrated a commitment of service to the Society.

BMES Awards recognize individuals for their accomplishments, significant contributions, and service to the Society and the field of biomedical engineering.

The Combustion Institute bestows several medals and awards for the most significant contributions in the field of combustion. 

The ECS Honors and Awards program distinguishes outstanding technical achievements in electrochemical and solid state science and technology, and recognizes exceptional service to the Society.

The Franklin Institute Award program seeks to provide public recognition and encouragement of excellence in science and technology.
